Glee Season 3 : The Purple Piano Project

Glee is Back! And as i said to my previous post, I will try to cover this season through these music blog. As for this show review I will focus more on the music than to the show itself because i'm not so much type of a TV Geek (lol!).

Episode Highlights :
  • Jacob's Report.
  • Mercedes New Boyfriend (Marcus)
  • Lauren Zizes quitting Glee Club. (Oh No!)
  • Bad-Ass look of Quinn Fabray
  • The Food Fight. (EPIC)
  • Will and Emma as a couple. (How?)
  • Blaine transfer from Dalton to Mckinley High.
  • Car Scene of Rachel and Kurt
  • Burning Purple Piano
  • Will kicked out Santana from the New Direction

The  TUNES :

We Got The Beat
The New Direction sang "We Got The Beat" in the school cafeteria to recruit new members. The song was a perfect song to recruit members and the Rachel-Santana-Britanny singing the lead was just so good. I like how the song is distributed with these three beautiful ladies and Heather's (Britanny) voice improved a lot. Dancing on the table was impressive, but the effort of recruiting result to an epic food fight(LOL).

Big Spender
New Cast Member Sugar audition for Glee Club singing a Jazz song. This particular song works for Ellis (The Glee Project) but not for you Sugar. Seriously, i was laughing the whole time she was singing. This was the funny scene of the episode, Britanny and Will faces reaction are just priceless (haha) and this is also the worst Glee audition (worst than Rachel's The Climb).

Ding Dong, The Witch is Dead!
Rachel and Kurt duet! Woot! They are both talented individual but the song itself was too boring for me, I'm not a fan of any Broadway Show but For Good and Defying Gravity hit me at first listen, or the song itself was not my cup of tea.

It's Not Unusual
Boo Yeah! Blaine transfer to Mckinley. Darren singing a classic song was very cool and do not forget the dance moves that makes this performance fun.

Anything Goes/Anything You Can Do
GOOSEBUMPS! Harmony (Lindsay Pierce) nailed it. I love how she perform the song and makes Kurt and Rachel somewhat loose their confidence to make it to NYADA (New York Academy of Dramatic Arts). Hope she gets back for another episode because she is really amazing.

You Can't Stop The Beat
When i heard Glee is doing a Hairspray, Oh no! Please choose "You Can't Stop The Beat", because that's the only song that i like in that movie. Luckily they did! Rachel singing the first verse is just awesome, Mercedes and Tina getting a part is a good sign too.

Overall the episode was a good one, I'm just getting tired of the story about Sue hating the Glee Club and this episode reminds me of Season 1 after hiatus. Hope this third season will be amazing because Rachel and other ND members will graduate soon.
