Lovely was the fifth Protégé voted out of the competition,
after that, They announced that there will be a wildcard battle that can send a
contestant back into the competiton.
GALA NIGHT:
The Gala Night was held at SM Fairview, the judges are
all complete including Ms. Eula Valdez who is now a permanent judge throughout
this season.
PERFORMANCE RANKING:
5. Rosalyn Navarro – Power
of Love
When she starts her performance it though that she can
nailed it, but when she’s singing its a little bit nasal. Overall, it was a
decent job.
4. Denise Ysabel Barbacena – Tuwing Umuulan
I love her rendition; it was emotional and captivating although
technically there are some flaws.
3. Lovely Embuscado – I Believe I Can Fly
Her vocal range is insane. The performance was good
although I feel that she over sing some parts towards the end.
2. Nomer Limatog Jr. – Sweet Child of Mine
Nomer is really a showstopper his energy was really high
every performance. The vocals were not perfect although it’s a little
forgivable because he was singing a rock song.
1. Samantha Julaton Felizco – How to Touch A Girl?
WOW! Best Performance of that Night! WHY? That performance
was rare (because most of the time the song that a contestant performs should
involve shouting), her voice was unique and that voice reminded me of Rihanna
(Rihanna that can sing live.LOL).
THOUGHTS:
This by far is my favorite week, because the performances
were really good, you can see that all of them wanted to join the competition
again and show the people what they really got. Again, Great job to the Staff
for the Wonderful Gala Night.
RESULT SHOW:
The First Five sing with their mentors, and I was shocked
that Mr. Janno Gibbs was there to perform (lol).
After the Commercal Break, the result was announced,
Nomer Limatog Jr. and Lovely Embuscado were back in the
competition.
Ok, the result was kinda expected because we all knew
that this Wildcard Battle was not in the plan at all, it was a rush planned
after Nomer got the boot and almost all the staff got mad and sad (rolleyes).
And I think they made it two wildcad winners because they did not see that Lovely
will be voted out in the competition. But Honestly, performance wise, Samantha
deserved it more than the two because she really show what an artist she want
to be and she nailed her performance.
