Highlights of this Year VMA :

• Beyonce is pregnant. (YAY!)
• Katy Perry won the night

My Favorite performances are Lady Gaga's You and I and The Amy Winehouse Tribute.

 This performance of You and I was very good. Lady gaga dressed up as her alter ego " Joe Calderon ".  Singing at the beginning with the piano is so captivating. She can really sing, though i think Haley Reinhart version of this song was better.

 VMA shows the a video of Tony Benett and Amy Winehouse doing a duet. Russell Brand introduce Bruno Mars who is paying tribute to Amy with the song "Valerie". Speechless!

And the Video of The Year goes to Katy Perry's Firework. Ok! Firework video is good and  inspirational, but, bitchy or not in my opinion, Adele and Bruno Mars deserved this award than Katy. (Ok! I'am being bias).

Julie Anne San Jose started her career in 2005 when she competed in Popstar Kids, a singing competition for children aged 7 to 11. After the competition she is cast as one of the member of the disbanded Sugarpop. She is currently being paired by Elmo Magalona in the shows Andres De Saya and Party Pilipinas on GMA7. As to her fans she is tagged as "The Ultimate Musical Princess"

JAPS (Julie's nickname) is one of my favorite local performer because she is very versatile(she can sing any genre) and she can play any instrument that you can think off (e.g. Guitar, Drums, Piano, Flute, etc.). Her voice always sounded good when she sings. Recently, she front-act the concert of David Archuleta at The Big Dome (which i'm one of the audience), actually my excitement meter gets higher when i heard the news that Julie, is the one chosen to front-act the concert, so when i buy the ticket i'am definitely sure that JAPS will make the crowd crazy. In the concert she sings five songs including Lady Gaga's The Edge of Glory which is a great rendition and Goosebumps Inducing. Other song in her set list was Decode, Super Bass, Written in the Stars and California King Bed.

Julie Anne is making a lot of the buzz right now because of her Amazing YouTube video cover of Nicki Minaj's Super Bass, which is my number 1 song for the month of July (here). The video was viewed over a million that makes Julie Anne as a "Local YouTube Sensation". Her cover is amazing, every time i open my computer i always go to YouTube and search "japs super bass", that 's my daily routine and take note i have a copy of the downloaded video on my phone, music player and my computer (Certified Adeek..LOL). So here's the video and one of the reason that makes me proud to be a Filipino :) :

If you're not contended with Julie Anne's rapping skills on that video, you may wanna check out her version of Chris Brown's "Look At Me Now" (that is freaking hard to sing and rap). INSANE!

Julie Anne is a talented individual. She deserves all the blessings that she gets. One or Two years I'am predicting that Julie will be a Music icon and i want a Major Concert at Araneta Coliseum. But before that I'm so excited for her first solo album under GMA Records, i hope that the album will mostly composed of original tracks, one or two cover is good and hoping that this album will be a HIT. And to GMA Records please as in PLEASE promote JAPS album.

The Music Video of Pia Toscano's first single "This Time" was release this week,  i review this song two weeks ago (HERE). And like the song the video is great.

my heart is so JET LAG

"Jet Lag" is the first single (and in some countries released as the second single) by Simple Plan from their fourth studio album Get Your Heart On!. The single was released on April 25, 2011, on the band's official website, and is featured in two versions: One featuring British singer Natasha Bedingfield providing guest vocals in English, and one featuring French-Canadian singer Marie-Mai providing guest vocals in French

The song was about a couple who was having a long distance relationship. The track was really catchy, it is easy to sing-along and there is something about the collaboration between Simple Plan and Natasha Bedingfield that made the song amazing. Personally, I really recommend this song especially to those people whose heart is Jet Lag.

Scotty Mccreery & Lauren Alaina released their first Music Video

 

American Idol winner Scotty McCreery and runner-up Lauren Alaina have both released their debut music videos for their first singles!  Both songs entered the Billboard Hot 100 on the first week of its release.


Scotty released his the music video for his first single, “I Love You This Big” and Monday night while Lauren’s video also features her mother, which is perfect because her debut single was “Like My Mother Does.”

Best Thing I Never Had

 

"Best Thing I Never Had" is the latest single from Beyonce's album 4, actually this is the best or the only good song on her album. I love the confidence in the lyrics, the tune and the soul she attached to this song. It's actually my current Last Song Syndrome (LSS).  This will be one of my favorite Queen B track along with Irreplaceable and Halo. Also the video is really well directed, the melody was really catchy and now i can't stop humming this song..:)
